Information: USEF in Arabian, National Show Horse, AHA-National/Regional AMHA (senior), AMHR, ASPC (Classics & Modern), ASPR Born in Joplin, MO, Leslie was raised with horses. Her father, Jerry Connor, was an avid Arabian horse enthusiast, and the involvement has been continuous since 1957. Leslie began riding at age four, and showing at nine. She continued to show while obtaining a B.A. degree in Social Science form Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, TX. She has owned, trained and shown many Class “A” Champions and Regional Champions, numerous Top Ten winners and two U. S. National Reserve Champions. She has won the USEF overall National High Score Award in the Arabian division twice, accomplishing this feat with two different mares. She has also won the National High Score Arabian Halter Gelding Award with a horse she bred. She has shown in halter, and in almost every performance discipline in the Arabian division, winning hundreds of ribbons and trophies. Leslie became a recorded judge in the Arabian Division of the USEF in 1975, and was promoted to R status in 1977. She has judged extensively in the US and Canada and has adjudicated several shows abroad. She has officiated at the US National Championship Arabian Show four times, the Canadian National Championship Arabian Show twice, the Swedish Arabian Nationals, the Brazilian Arabian Nationals and the Australian National Championship Arabian Show. She has also judged numerous Regional Championships in the US and a Regional show in Brazil. She has judged over 75 Miniature Horse shows, including several AMHA Regional shows, AMHA World Championship show twice, Miniature Horse Association of Great Britain Spring National Show and New Zealand National Championship Miniature Show.
